"Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe was expected to be a man of great interest once the Marlies season was over. The Calder Cup winning coach was labelled as a top candidate to jump to the NHL and possibly grab one of the head coaching jobs. Meanwhile in Toronto he's been labelled as Mike Babcock's successor as coach of the Maple Leafs. On Tuesday Keefe made a decision regarding his coaching future which could line up a future behind the Leafs' bench. The Leafs announced that Keefe has signed a two year extension as coach of the Marlies. "
