"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas made another contract announcement on Tuesday. Toronto has signed defenseman Teemu Kivihalme to a one year entry level contract. The 23 year old had 30 points in 60 games last season for Karpat of the SM-liiga. Drafted in the 5th round of the 2013 NHL Draft by the Nashville Predators, Kivihalme was never able to get something going contract wise with Nashville. He stands 6' and weights in at 181 pounds. While he's not the biggest player he's not scared to get dirty in the corners and is great in the offensive zone.
