BREAKING Leafs Sign Two Defenseman.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas announced another couple of roster moves. As the team continues to make a push to try and sign KHL soon to be free agent forward Alexander Barabanov the team locked up two youngsters. Dubas has signed defenseman Filip Kral to a three year entry level contract and Kristians Rubins to a two year entry level contract. Kral was the Leafs 2018 149th pick in the draft and registered 12 goals and 49 points for the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL. The 6'1, 175lbs, 20 year old is a native of the Czech Republic. Rubins meanwhile is 22 year old from Latvia and was never drafted by any team. He spent a couple of years in the WHL playing for the Medicine Hat Tigers and put in some minor league time for the Leafs organization playing for the ECHL Newfoundland Growlers and Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
