"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Lou Lamoriello announced some roster moves on Tuesday. The team has sent Frederik Gauthier back to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL and has called up Kasperi Kapanen from the Marlies. The 21 year old Kapanen has two goals in six games so far this season during a brief stint with the Leafs. Kapanen has also put up 22 points in 27 games so far during his time with the Marlies this year. Gauthier has played in nine games so far this season with the Leafs and was able to register a goal. The 22 year old has eight points in 27 games with the Marlies so far this season. Gauthier put in some great work last year with the Leafs during his 21 games, but seems to not be able to overtake Dominic Moore on the depth chart this year. The Leafs play the Chicago Blackhawks Wednesday night at the United Center in Chicago.
