Brad Marchand Sends Leafs Nation Into a Frenzy With Comments on Social Media

Leafs Nation has despised Brad Marchand for years while playing for the Boston Bruins, but a change of jersey when he was traded to the Florida Panthers at the deadline seemingly made him more likeable.

Since winning his second Stanley Cup on Tuesday night with the Panthers, Marchand has been a 'must watch' on social media.

Between his speeches, hilarious outfits, and serving Blizzards at Dairy Queen, Marchand has been trolling NHL teams for each and every player that came to Florida after wearing out their welcomes with their former clubs.

Surprisingly, one of the teams not mentioned in his posts was the Leafs. That changed on Thursday afternoon when 'The Leafs Nation' posted a quote from Nick Kypreos' appearance on 'Leafs Morning Take' in which Kypreos shared a report suggestion that Marchand will be wearing a Leafs jersey next season.

Marchand eventually saw the post and sent Leafs Nation into a frenzy with his comment on it.

As of 6:30 Thursday evening, his comment has garnered more than 2100 likes and 287 replies, of which the majority are confirming that the tune from Leafs Nation has changed towards the 37-year-old and would welcome him with open arms.

Although Marchand may not replace the 102 points that Mitch Marner put up this past season, the 37-year-old would certainly trigger a change in DNA in Toronto.

Whether the Leafs are willing to hand out a four-year, $32M deal or not is another story. But, for now, Leafs Nation will at least benable to enjoy the idea that Marchand is considering signing with the Leafs.
