During the Avs and Jets game in Winnipeg last night, a fight broke out leaving a Jets fan in need of serious medical attention. According to reports, two Avalanche fans were being escorted out due to their intoxication levels and were causing issues with other fans. As security attempted to remove the two fans, one headbutted the security guard attempting to remove them and the other jumped on the security guard. A good citizen was attempting to help deescalate the situation when the male Avs fan pushed him down the stairs, head-first into the boards, leaving him and the boards a bloody mess.

As you can see from the video above, the Avs fan and Jets fan were entangled as they fell down the stairs backwards and the Jets fan hit his head on the boards, splitting it open. Fans around the incident called over to the Jets and were able to have the team bring towels over as the Jets fan received medical attention.

The game was delayed while this matter was attended to and two arrests were made. Charges are expected to be laid in the coming days.
