Now that the Traverse City prospects tournament is out of the way, the next thing for Leaf fans to look forward to is the beginning of training camps. Most of the Leafs are already in Toronto and have been on the ice together in unofficial skates. Now, it's time for the real thing.
The good news is the wait won't be long. As reported by Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun, the Leafs are set to have their media day on Wednesday before camp starts in earnest on Thursday. The training camp roster will be unveiled on Wednesday morning. We are oh so close to seeing real hockey again, and the Leafs are looking good for Treliving's first season as GM.
Leaf fans can get excited about a closer look at promising prospects like Easton Cowan, Fraser Minten and Topi Niemela. We'll also get our first looks at new Leafs like Tyler Bertuzzi, Max Domi and Ryan Reaves. The road to the Stanley Cup starts in training camp. This is the strongest Leafs roster we've seen since Mats Sundin wore the "C". Is it finally our year? I don't know, but I do know that I'm excited to see the boys in blue back in business! Go Leafs Go!
