We have a beauty alert to announce, folks! Leafs prospect Nick Moldenhauer is having himself one hell of a start to the 2022-23 USHL season, having posted 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points through 3 games.

As a result of his very productive first 3 games, The Score's Kyle Cushman has named Moldenhauer the Leafs prospects 3rd star of the month of September after a red hot start to his season. Vyacheslav Peksa and Artur Akhtyamov were Cushman's 2nd and 1st stars of September.

Moldenhauer enjoyed a strong 2021-22 campaign with the USHL's Chicago Steel, posting 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points in 41 games last season. The Mississauga, ON native impressed the Leafs and former Steel GM Ryan Hardy, who is now GM of the Toronto Marlies, which ultimately led to the Leafs selecting Moldenhauer with the 95th overall pick (3rd round) in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

Moldenhauer's relentless work ethic and silky smooth hands, even under pressure, will be an asset to him this season as he transitions from wing to center full-time this season.
