As it was on Wednesday, the game was very tight and chances were limited with the game knotted at 1 until the third period when the Leafs scored two powerplay goals. Then, in the final minute with the Jets' net empty, Leafs defenseman Simon Benoit added some additional insurance as he scored on the empty cage from deep in the Leafs' zone.
As Jets fans looked on in disappointment, this Leaf fan and his pal celebrated enthusiastically. The Leafs haven't had much to celebrate this season, so heading into the bye week with 3 straight wins certainly qualifies.
