Most sports don't have an undisputed GOAT like hockey and the NHL. You're constantly hearing about the debate in the NBA between Michael Jordan and Lebron James, the NFL and the MLB is up in the air as well, but the NHL has and always will be Wayne Gretzky.

It's one of those things that's just understood as well. There's no debate amongst the players or alumni, Gretzky is the Great One for a reason. He holds almost every record imaginable and a lot of them are unbreakable - except maybe the goal scoring record that Alexander Ovechkin is inching closer to.

As he celebrates his 62nd birthday today, Gretzky can look back on a career that spanned 20 seasons, 1,487 games, 894 goals, 1,963 assists, 2,857 points, 4 seasons of 200+ points, 4 Stanley Cups, 9 Hart Trophies, 10 Art Ross', 2 Conn Smythe's, and 5 Pearson's among so much else.

He was also an absolute menace on the ice when he was a little kid, lighting up the score sheet way beyond what you might imagine. In 1969-70 at the ripe old age of 8, he scored 104 goals and 167 points in 62 games. The following year he scored 196 goals and 316 points in 76 games, and then he followed that up with a ridiculous 378 goals and 517 point campaign in 1971-72. He was just amazing at every age, at every domain, in every league.

Happy 62nd birthday to the one and only "Great One", Wayne Gretzky.
