While awards season is still a couple of months away, writers for teams across the league have made their selection for one of the most respected awards among players. Nominees for the Bill Masterton Trophy have been made official."The Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey."Toronto writers have chosen Leafs' forward Tyler Ennis as the team's nominee.Ennis signed a one year prove it deal at minimum salary during the offseason and unfortunately broke his foot at the end of December. The forward persevered and eventually came back six weeks later and registered a hat trick and has become a big part of the Leafs' on and off the ice.
