"The Toronto Maple Leafs have been holding their optional practices going back to last week and there was a scary moment on Monday morning. Some pretty big names have been in attendance including Andersen, Brown, Borgman, Carrick, Cracknell, Dermott, Gardiner, Gauthier, Hainsey, Hyman, Johnsson, Jooris, Kadri, Marner, Matthews, McElhinney, Moore, Ozhiganov, Rielly, Subban, Sparks, Tavares, Timashov, Zaitsev.Monday started off on a scary note as Matthews was shaken up after colliding with a teammate. The collision resulted in Matthews getting some quick stitches as Matthews was bleeding, however, luckily after the stitches he jumped back on the ice. Good thing it was just some facial cuts as last year during the playoffs we saw an absolutely crazy scenario in Philadelphia. Flyers star Sean Couturier tore his MCL after colliding with Radko Gudas at practice.
