"Teams across the NHL are starting to put together their scouting trips as we get closer to the NHL trade deadline. Some teams are preparing for the playoff push, while others are already scouting for next year. The Toronto Maple Leafs are likely in both categories and Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas has made the trip to Russia to take a look at the KHL. TSN's Darren Dreger reports that the Leafs are showing interest in CSKA Moscow forward Sergei Andronov. The 29 year old was drafted by the St. Louis Blues back in 2009 but never got into any NHL action, and apparently is ready to take another shot at the NHL. He wouldn't be more than a depth addition at maybe $1.5-$$2million a season. He would be just that, a depth addition as he's never average close to a point per game in his KHL career.
