The Toronto Maple Leafs are having a disappointing start to the season but one forward has definitely stood out in a good way. Ilya Mikheyev has taken the NHL and Toronto by storm to start the season. Mikheyev is currently tied with 2017 fourth overall pick, Cale Makar, for the rookie scoring lead. The two are currently tied for first with 11 points so far this season.Mikheyev is also tied among rookies with four goals so far this season just two behind Victor Olofsson of the Buffalo Sabres who has six goals, all on the power play.
