While everybody's focus so far through training camp has been locked in on John Tavares, another Leafs forward is starting to strongly impress head coach Mike Babcock. Babcock said over the weekend that he's been completely impressed by 22 year old forward Kasperi Kapanen. "Kappy has looked unreal" Is Kapanen ready for a full time role?"I think so for sure. You've still got to do it. Sometimes when you arrive and you're doing it for a little bit, you think you've arrived. What you realize is the guys who are the best work harder each and every summer to get better, to reinvent themselves. That is what a good pro does. It is a journey. It is not about getting there. It is about getting there and getting better every day and being a big part of a team. He's got time." The interesting thing about Kapanen is that he could be one of the guys to eat up some of the penalty killing minutes with Leo Komarov gone. "Yeah, for sure. Someone else has to take it."
