Pacioretty opened up about his mindset in the postseason, as per Luke Fox on X:

The veteran winger will suit up for his third straight game, taking the place of 23-year-old Nick Robertson in the line-up. It's a clear sign that head coach Craig Berube values Pacioretty's experience and presence over Robertson's youth.

Although Pacioretty hasn't recorded a point in his two appearances, he's brought exactly what's needed in playoff hockey-physicality. He's registered 12 hits so far this playoffs, showing his commitment to playing a gritty, hard-nosed game.

Goaltender Anthony Stolarz has also matched that intensity. He showcased his passion when he made it clear to Senators agitator Ridly Greig that the crease is off-limits-physically forcing him out after he skated by.

Game 5 is expected to match, if not exceed, the intensity of the series so far. With the Senators facing elimination, desperation will be at an all-time high.
