For Max Domi, becoming a Toronto Maple Leaf has been on his mind since he was just a kid, back when his dad, the legendary Tie Domi, was playing his heart out for the Leafs in the 90's and 2000's. Now that he's a Leaf, it's something he doesn't take for granted.

Domi has been very vocal about it being a dream come true when he signed his 1-year, $3M deal back in early July and he has played with all of the passion and intensity that you'd expect from a player who truly loves putting on a Maple Leafs jersey everyday. Now preparing for his first playoff run as a Leaf, Domi has assembled a hype video for the playoffs, with the help of popular Leafs Twitter user LeafsJelly, who has become a bit of a staple in the Leafs Twitter community for his videos, which pair the radio calls of Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph over the Sportsnet and TSN video feeds. The video turned out amazing.

With the Leafs squaring off against the Boston Bruins in Game 1 of their 7-game series tonight, Domi has already confirmed that he's back to 100% and is ready to go. Sheldon Keefe has reunited Domi with Tyler Bertuzzi and Auston Matthews on what has been a very dynamic and productive top line in recent weeks, which should bode well for the Leafs.

Domi's unique blend of skill and physicality has really stood out in Toronto this season. He's not as fierce a fighter as his dad was, but he's every bit as fearless. Domi has given everything he has to the Leafs this season, producing 47 points, including 12 points in his last 13 games. He has also racked up 6 fighting majors this year - a new career high for him - with scraps against Simon Nemec, Mattias Janmark, Charlie McAvoy, Radko Gudas, Sam Bennett, and Ian Cole.

If Domi can contribute for the Leafs in these playoffs like he did for the Dallas Stars in last year's playoffs (13 points in 19 playoff games), the Leafs stand a pretty good chance of going on a deep postseason run. Of course, for that to happen, the "Core 4" and Morgan Rielly will have to be at the top of their games as well.

For Domi, this opportunity is one he has wanted for much of his life. I'd imagine we're going to see him play his heart out, just like his dad did, albeit with a few less fights and a few more points.
