"With the Toronto Maple Leafs having blown a 3-1 series lead on the Montreal Canadiens and exiting the playoffs once again in the first round fingers were pointed almost immediately. Most of them were pointed at one forward in particular. Mitch Marner. Marner hasn't scored a playoff goal since April 11 2019 and not only is he under fire for that, but he's also under fire for some chatter about him and the power play. Various reports have Marner refusing to play certain roles on the power play and basically dictating what he will and won't do during the man advantage. His agent, Darren Ferris, called out the media for it. "It is seriously concerning when certain media feel insulated from taking accountability for what they say, even when they know it to be false or distorted beyond reason."
