The Maple Leafs are going to have to name a Game 1 starter for the playoffs sooner than later, and Craig Berube has revealed where things stand with his goalies.

Looking back at the start of this season, nobody really knew what to expect from the Leafs with a tandem that consisted of Joseph Woll, who was injured during training camp, and Anthony Stolarz, who had been a career backup goalie with an injury history and not much experience in the grand scheme of things.
Fast forward to March of this year, and it's certainly a lot more comfortable for the Leafs in terms of knowing that they have two goalies who are capable of stealing games.
Joseph Woll is arguably the best "clutch scenario" goalie in the NHL, having not allowed a single goal against while in the final 5 minutes of a 1-goal game this season. He has also not allowed a single OT goal all season long.
Meanwhile, Anthony Stolarz has been downright fantastic in his own right, boasting the 2nd best goals saved above expected per 60 minutes over this entire season.
The bottom line is that the Leafs have received quality goaltending from both Woll and Stolarz and while the team is fine with rotating them in and out for now, selecting one to start in the playoffs is certainly a difficult call for Craig Berube to make.

Have the Leafs Made a Decision on Who Will Start Game 1 in the Playoffs?

Following his 3rd consecutive win last night, Joseph Woll appears to be the early frontrunner in the minds of the fans. But, when it comes to Berube, he's a little less certain. Following last night's win, Berube applauded Woll's play, but indicated that no decision has been made yet regarding the starting goalie for the playoffs.
"He [Woll] has played excellently in the last three games. He has been really good. We will figure all of that [the playoffs] out."

Stolarz has stumbled a little bit of late after returning from a knee injury, which required surgery back in December.
Woll appears to be finding his stride at the right time, but again, with the injury history there, you can't necessarily guarantee that he'll even be healthy enough to start in the playoffs. These next few weeks will certainly tell us a lot.
