The Toronto Maple Leafs appear to be without the services of depth forward Steven Lorentz once again on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators.

After playing just 1:17 in Saturday's loss to the Detroit Red Wings, Steven Lorentz returned to the ice on Monday morning for a solo skate. The 29-year-old is dealing with an upper-body injury that he suffered in a collision with Wings defenseman Ben Chiarot on Saturday.
Ahead of the Leafs' matinee rematch against the Red Wings Monday, head coach Craig Berube suggested that the Stanley Cup Champion could potentially return for Tuesday's game, which gave fans some hope. Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case.

Steven Lorentz Out Again on Tuesday Night

Playing their third game in four nights against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night, Lorentz was once again on the ice by himself Tuesday morning, taking shots on the Leafs' projected starting goaltender Cayden Primeau.
Shortly thereafter, however, Lorentz began working with Sammy Blais and Philippe Myers, who are projected to be healthy scratches once again on Tuesday.
Skating with the scratches was a good indicator that Lorentz will miss Tuesday's game, and could mean that the Maple Leafs are taking a cautious approach with his injury.
The update from Craig Berube following practice has confirmed it. Lorentz will miss at least one more game.
Since Lorentz has been listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury, and given the nature of the hit he took from Chiarot on the weekend, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the veteran forward suffered a concussion, though that has not been confirmed.
With the Leafs having two more games on the docket this week, Lorentz still has a couple of opportunities to get back into the lineup this week.
