The Toronto Maple Leafs are finally back home after their 2-1-0 trip through western Canada which included a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames last Tuesday. The Leafs got goals from Nazem Kadri, Leo Komarov, Roman Polak and Nikita Zaitsev in Calgary while Frederik Andersen stopped 19 of the 20 shots he saw.
Tyler Bozak will play tonight after missing Saturday's game in Vancouver and some practice time earlier in the week with food poisoning. He will take his usual spot, centering the third line, meaning William Nylander will be back on the right wing of the fourth line.
Fans hoping to see future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr will be disappointed as the veteran will not play tonight due to a lower-body injury. The Flames are also missing winger Kris Versteeg, who underwent surgery to repair a hip injury earlier this week.
The Maple Leafs have won six of the last 10 meetings with the Flames. Patrick Marleau has had quite a bit of success versus Calgary in his career. In 77 games versus the Flames, Marleau has 22 goals and 53 points.
The Flames are back on the road after going 1-3-0 during a recent four-game home stand, including being the first team in 11 games to lose to the Philadelphia Flyers their last time out.
