The Toronto Maple Leafs received some good news and some bad news ahead of Saturday's Game 7 regarding middle six winger Bobby McMann.

Bobby McMann has not played since the Leafs' final home game of the regular season against the Detroit Red Wings. It was there that McMann got tangled up along the boards with Alex DeBrincat, ultimately suffering an injury and forcing him to miss the final two regular season games and the first six games of the first round series against the Boston Bruins.

On a bright note, McMann, along with fellow absentee Auston Matthews, joined the rest of the team on the ice for Saturday's morning skate ahead of tonight's Game 7. Unfortunately, he was still not well enough to return.

Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had initially said McMann was going to be a possibility for Game 6, but he had not progressed enough to even skate with the team. Still not ready to go for Game 7, McMann is hoping that the Leafs can extend their playoff run tonight to give him a chance to get back into the lineup against Florida in Round 2.
