After a shutout in Game 6 to help the Leafs force a Game 7 on Sunday, Joseph Woll put the league on notice with his staggering elimination game numbers.
With his shutout in Game 6, the former third-round pick became the first Leafs goaltender to record a shutout in an elimination game since 2002, when Leafs legend Curtis Joseph did so in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Not only did Woll etch his name next to an all-time Leafs great with the shutout, but he put the league on notice that he is a big-game performer.
In his last 5 elimination games, Woll is 4-1 with a save percentage of .957 or higher in 4 of those games. The only game where he was below that number was Game 5 against Florida in 2024, where he posted a very strong .930 save percentage.
As the Leafs look to win their first Game 7 since 2005 on Sunday night, Woll will look to build on what many consider to be his and the team's best performance of the post-season and push the Leafs into the Eastern Conference Finals against the Carolina Hurricanes.
