"The Toronto Maple Leafs took a tough loss last night as they hosted the Colorado Avalanche at ScotiaBank Arena. That's two losses in a row now for the Leafs and three out of the last four. The main storyline heading into the game was Frederik Andersen asking Sheldon Keefe for the start and opportunity to start two nights in a row to help the team bounce back from the disaster in Philly. Andersen looked good and the Leafs played a pretty solid game until Jason Spezza had a huge blunder. Spezza blocked Morgan Rielly on the blueline on a powerplay by mistake and Valeri Nichushkin picked the puck up for a short handed breakaway and buried it. "I'm going to the bench & then I hear someone yell, 'The puck's coming,' so I make a split-second decision to play it & then Mo yells that he's there & I kind of just froze to try to not get in his way & in turn got in his way more. That game falls on me now ..."
"That game falls on me now, because we were playing good up to that point.»"We made a push after that, but it's frustrating. You work to get that power play. It's a game of inches, you make split-second decisions, I made the wrong one tonight there and it cost us."Check out the play again below:
