Final list of possible team names for Utah officially revealed
The Smith Entertainment Group has officially identified the final list of possible team names for the NHL's newest franchise in Utah.
When Ryan Smith, owner of the Utah Jazz, agreed to take on the Arizona Coyotes, it was with the condition that Arizona would be able to return in 2027-28, which means that the name "Coyotes" will be spoken for, leaving the Utah hockey club to select a new name.
Smith wants NHL fans to help decide on the team's new name, and has created a survey to compile fan votes. The names listed in the survey are as follows:

-Black Diamond
-Fury
-Blizzard
-Blast
-Mountaineers
-Powder
-Frost
-Mammoth
-Glacier
-Caribou
-Hive
-Squall
-Yeti
-Swarm
-Canyon
-Outlaws
-Freeze
-Utah HC
Of the names included on the survey, my personal favourites are Swarm, Outlaws, Venom, Fury and Blizzard. I know Yeti is another popular option among fans, but I'm lukewarm on that one.
