There is word that Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving will make himself available to the media after a series of meetings with upper management in Toronto.

Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has some huge challenges ahead of him over the summer, and it looks like he's ready to discuss them publicly.
After announcing that Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan would not have his contract renewed and would not be replaced, MLSE CEO Keith Pelley provided some clarity on the team's front office structure at his year-end news conference, telling reporters that Toronto is Treliving's team now.
However, that apparently didn't mean no one else would be involved, as it has been revealed by Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period that Treliving has been in a series of meetings with other members of the Maple Leafs' front office staff since Sunday. A news conference is scheduled for Thursday morning where Treliving will address the future of the team, and will hopefully have some exciting news to share about the direction of the franchise.

No Rest for Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving Over the Summer

Treliving has a host of irons in the fire for the offseason, with unrestricted free agents like John Tavares and Mitch Marner waiting to see if they'll get an offer from the team, while restricted free agents such as Matthew Knies and Nicholas Robertson are also looking for new deals. It's a lot to process, and that topic will definitely come up during his news conference.
Whatever answers Treliving chooses to provide, they will no doubt be analyzed and over-analyzed by Toronto's media and fans. Still, some reassurance regarding the team's coming years shouldn't be too much to ask.
