"The Toronto Maple Leafs made noise at the start of the week when they made a big move and landed Los Angeles Kings defenseman Jake Muzzin. Before the team landed Muzzin, one of the defenseman they were attached to was St. Louis Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo. With the Blues free falling they're trying to make a couple of moves and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reports they were talking to the Leafs. Friedman adds the reason why the talks with St. Louis eventually broke off was because the Blues wouldn't back down from their asking price of William Nylander. The Leafs then decided to concentrate on talks with the Kings because they wouldn't need to give up a current roster piece. Like Muzzin, Pietrangelo is signed through the 2019-20 season, however makes $6.5million a season compared to Muzzin's $4million.Would you have moved Nylander for Pietrangelo?
