Dubas Calls The Leafs Embarrassing.

Toronto Maple Leafs' general manager Kyle Dubas dissapointed some fans and analysts yesterday when he didn't make any moves to improve his blueline. There was chatter that Tyson Barrie or Kasperi Kapanen could be moved for an upgrade on defense but neither of them was traded. Instead Dubas explained he had already did his deadline work by acquiring backup goalie Jack Campbell and forward Kyle Clifford. «No. 1, we want to see how the group responds,» Dubas said. «What are we going to do to pull ourselves out of where we've been and back to where we're capable of going?»
What was even more disappointing was Dubas' response when asked why the Leafs are so inconsistent.«The truthful answer is we don't know,» Dubas said. «That might draw some criticism to say I don't know,' but I'm not gonna bullshit and tell you I have some magical solution. I think we have to go through this.»
