Following another early postseason exit in Toronto, Leafs GM Brad Treliving and President Brendan Shanahan promised changes this summer. After already making a coaching change, addressing the roster appears to be the next focus.
The Leafs are expected to be active in the trade market, but there are also a long list of free agents that the Leafs may look to pursue on July 1st, including 10 potential targets from Ontario. In no specific order, those names are Steven Stamkos, Brandon Montour, Sean Walker, Tyler Toffoli, Sean Monahan, Chris Tanev, Matt Duchene, Warren Foegele, Adam Henrique and Dylan DeMelo.
Players like Stamkos, Walker, Toffoli and Tanev have previously already been linked to the Leafs, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see any of these players ink a deal in Toronto this summer.
Two additional names that stand out from this list, given the Leafs' need for a 3C, are Adam Henrique and Matt Duchene. Whether either player would welcome a return home under the brightest lights in hockey remains to be seen.
