The mystery surrounding Connor Carrick has finally been solved. The defenseman has never really been able to earn himself a full time job or the trust of head coach Mike Babcock, and he won't have to worry about it anymore. Earlier today the Leafs announced their full roster to start the season and Carrick wasn't anywhere to be seen, then come noon, he wasn't placed on waivers either. TSN's Bob McKenzie reports that Carrick was traded to the Dallas Stars for a 7th round conditional pick in 2019 which could turn into a 6th round pick if he plays 50 games.
