"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas announced a roster move on Friday night. The team has assigned forward Nic Petan to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL. It doesn't seem that Petan fits into head coach Sheldon Keefe's plans and will likely stay in the AHL until another injury up front for the Leafs. Petan had three points in 16 games for the Leafs and but he ripped it up for the Marlies earlier this year with seven points in three games.
