Maple Leafs trade deadline acquisition Brandon Carlo is still settling in and facing some challenges after coming to Toronto at the trade deadline.
The Toronto Maple Leafs made a bold move at the trade deadline, acquiring Brandon Carlo to strengthen their defensive corps as they prepare for Craig Berube's first playoff run with the team.
Despite his strong on-ice performance, Carlo has faced challenges off the ice. He revealed that he and his family are still living in a hotel as they adjust to their new surroundings. However, he remains optimistic about the situation, as per Lance Hornby on X:
"No complaints from them so far. My daughters love the pool and room service so we're okay there."
The Maple Leafs are currently on a roll after a brief slump, riding a three-game win streak with the chance to move to 4-straight wins with a victory over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
