Coming into this summer, we knew that Mitch Marner had a wedding coming up at some point. However, Marner and his now wife, Stephanie, were keeping things pretty hush, hush - for obvious reasons. Well, we now know that the wedding occurred this past weekend and that there was an extensive list of past and present Leafs at the event, as one might expect.
Among the list of attendees were James van Riemsdyk, Morgan Rielly, John Tavares, Tyler Bozak, Zach Hyman, Alexander Kerfoot, Auston Matthews, Jake Muzzin, Timothy Liljegren, Michael Bunting, Frederik Andersen, Justin Holl, Tyson Barrie, Joe Thornton, Tyler Ennis, Patrick Marleau and Matt Martin, among others.
Now a married man, Marner and his new wife are likely enjoying their honeymoon off on a tropical beach somewhere before the team's 2022-23 leading scorer comes back and sets his sights on training camp, which is set to kick off in approximately 7 weeks. Perhaps this will finally be the year that Marner surpasses the 100-point plateau for the first time in his impressive young career.
