Leave it to an Ottawa Senators fan to be a total disappointment and an embarrassment to hockey fandom. On Monday afternoon, A Sens fan made a comment about the Leafs and the Canadiens being jealous of the Senators over 2020 3rd overall pick Tim Stutzle.
Obviously, that thought process is nonsense - at least from Toronto's standpoint. The Habs and Sens are currently sitting the the NHL's basement, while the Leafs are preparing for home ice advantage in the upcoming playoffs.
As if the original thought wasn't bad enough, another Sens fan chimed in, stating that 2020 28th overall pick Ridly Greig (OTT) was outperforming 2020 16th overall pick Kaiden Guhle (MTL) and 2020 15th overall pick Rodion Amirov (TOR) this season.
There's a lot to unpack here. Number one, Greig is a scoring forward and Guhle is a two-way defender. Secondly, and most importantly, he's comparing a junior player to a Russian pro who is currently battling brain cancer. Talk about not reading the room..
Granted, the Sens fan probably can't find the pulse for any other team in the league, let alone their prospects, but Amirov being diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year was headline news. Either way, this fan is either putting his ignorance on full display or showing a tremendous lack of character.
