Edmonton Oilers winger Evander Kane is no stranger to the spotlight, but unfortunately for the Vancouver, BC native, that spotlight is often not on his on-ice performance, but rather his off-ice exploits - most recently, his very public spat with his estranged/ex-wife, Anna Kane on social media.
Shortly after the original social media onslaught from Anna Kane, claiming that Evander Kane was gambling on his own games and neglecting his daughter, the NHL star had his lawyers issue a gag order on Anna, preventing her from posting about her husband on social media.
She did slow down for awhile, but lately, has fired right back up, sharing a lot of allegations of domestic abuse - perhaps none more sobering than what she released on Instagram on Wednesday.
With claims coming out from Mrs. Kane that Evander both hit and strangled her, along with promises of more photo evidence, Kane may find himself in some hot water yet again.
Domestic violence is no joke. I'm sure there's some sort of an investigation going on in the background, which begs the question; should Evander Kane even be playing for an NHL team right now, amid all of these very serious allegations?
