It's never a surprise when teammates stick up for each other on the ice. The same can also be said when speaking with the media. Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid showed on Tuesday that he has his teammates' backs both on and off the ice when he suggested to the media that he believes that one of his teammates was snubbed.
Zach Hyman was a fan favorite during his time in Toronto, and since coming to Edmonton, he has won the hearts of Oilers fans as well. His work ethic is top tier and he's progressively gotten better at finishing plays alongside top players in the NHL from his days with Matthews, Marner, Nylander, to McDavid, Draisaitl and Nugent-Hopkins.
Why does McDavid believe Hyman deserves to be an All-Star? Well, for starters, Hyman is on pace for a 50-goal season. His current career-high in goals in a season is 36, achieving that total last season.
