The Toronto Maple Leafs have a large amount of cap space available this summer, and one TSN Hockey Analyst has identified his top-5 off-season targets for GM Brad Treliving.

With yet another early playoff exit behind them, the Toronto Maple Leafs are preparing for what's expected to be a pivotal and busy offseason.
General Manager Brad Treliving has already indicated that major changes are coming after the team once again failed to make a deep postseason run.
One of the biggest moves expected is the departure of Mitch Marner, amid ongoing speculation that he's unhappy in Toronto due to the pressure. He has underperformed in key moments.
With his likely exit, several names have been linked to the Leafs as potential replacements or upgrades.
TSN's Aaron Korolnek recently shared his list of players the Leafs should target, during a segment on OverDrive:

List of Veteran Forwards Identified as Ideal Fits for the Maple Leafs

While players like Sam Bennett and even Brad Marchand have been floated recently in speculation -- particularly Bennett, who is from Ontario and grew up a Maple Leafs fan -- Korolnek's list also includes a few veteran names that might catch fans by surprise. Notably, Brayden Schenn, Jonathan Marchessault, and Chris Kreider were all mentioned. Schenn is a particularly interesting name, as the Leafs reportedly pursued him at this past trade deadline.
Schenn ultimately declined a move to Toronto, believing he still had unfinished business in St. Louis. It's worth noting that Craig Berube, now the Leafs' head coach, worked closely with Schenn during the Blues' 2019 Stanley Cup run.
With Marner's massive cap hit likely coming off the books, the Maple Leafs will have both the opportunity and flexibility to retool their roster.
The list of potential fits goes beyond who Korolnek has listed, but if fhe Leafs can get their hands on one or two of the players listed, it would certainly be a fairly significant DNA change, as Treliving suggested is needed in Toronto this week.
