This weekend, the Toronto Maple Leafs put on an absolute clinic for much of their Saturday night game against the Edmonton Oilers. The end score was 6-3, but it was not indicative of how truly one-sided the game was, as the Leafs carried a 5-0 lead into the 3rd period. Bobby McMann had a huge night for the Leafs, collecting 3 points, but unfortunately for McMann, his post-game interview was tainted by the senseless rambling of Hockey Night in Canada host, Ron MacLean.

While his fellow HNIC panel members looked on in confusion and tried to maintain their composure, MacLean went on a rant about a dress shop that former NHLer an long-time NHL coach Glen Sather's mom used to own in Wainwright, Alberta, where McMann is from. All the while, McMann looked at the camera silently while MacLean essentially hi-jacked his interview.
MacLean: "You're too young, Bobby - you can't know, but Glen Sather's mom had a shop in Wainwright. It was a dress [shop], do you know this? Do you know that Glen Sather has a history there?"

McMann: "No, no I don't know that history."

MacLean: "You know, he's the king of swagger, and you just demonstrated you're cut from the same cloth of mom and all the beautiful dresses she used to [make] - that's why Glen was such a great haberdasher and he would always look the best of any player... Great game tonight."

MacLean is catching a lot of flack for this on social media at the moment, with many suggesting that it may finally be time for him to step away from the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast in favour of someone who can make the show a little more entertaining.
For McMann, I'm sure he didn't mind, as the win was what was most important for him, but still - standing there awkwardly while MacLean spoke of haberdashery and dress shops in Wainwright must have been a unique experience for the first-year NHLer.
