The Maple Leafs returned to practice on Friday, where they revealed one subtle change to their lineup ahead of Saturday's game against Fraser Minten and the Bruins.

Coming off of what many consider to be their most complete game of the season, the Maple Leafs returned to the ice on Friday for practice.

Surprise in Goal

The first thing reporters in attendance noticed was only Anthony Stolarz and Joseph Woll joined the roster.
With the Leafs confirming that Woll would join the Marlies this weekend for a conditioning stint, having only two goalies at practice was likely to get Woll more shots ahead of game action.

Robertson Continues to Hold Top-Six Spot

Thanks to a handful of injuries, a tough October and head coach Craig Berube unable to find chemistry in his top-six, Nick Robertson was given an opportunity and has taken full advantage of it.
With six points in his last seven games, the former second-round pick once again skated on a line with Bobby McMann and John Tavares. Berube didn't make any changes to the forward group on Friday, meaning that Calle Jarnkrok and Sammy Blais will be healthy scratches for the second consecutive game.

Benoit Returns, Rielly Demoted

After being a late scratch on Wednesday due to an illness, Benoit looks to return to the lineup on Saturday as he took regular reps with Philippe Myers on the third pair.
As for Morgan Rielly, he took reps with Brandon Carlo as he usually does, but when it came time for power-play work, he found himself on the second unit.
Instead, Berube opted to go with more of a shooting threat on the first unit with Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
Operating at only 11.8% and ranked 30th in the league, the Leafs need to get their power-play clicking. Especially against their long-standing division rival Boston Bruins, who have often feasted against the Leafs' penalty kill over the years.
Giving the top unit another shooter is the right move and has been begged for by fans for years. It should help open up William Nylander and Auston Matthews for shots from the half-walls and create more opportunities for tips and rebounds.
