Maple Leafs to Officially Unveil Increased Ticket Prices on Wednesday

In March, the Leafs announced an exuberant price hike on season tickets. The announcement was met with plenty of outrage from Leafs Nation as some season tickets were expected to jump as much as 20-percent.

The price hikes in recent years, after multiple disappointing post-season runs, have not only been felt by the fans that have been priced out, but also the players, who have called out the business-like atmosphere that seems to overtake Scotiabank arena most nights.

Given the substantial price-hikes for season ticket holders, fans who will be virtually lining up for single-game tickets on Wednesday shouldn't be shocked at the sticker price when they go to purchase tickets for Mitch Marner's return in January and other games like the home opener.

Those that are 'Leafs Insiders' will have a first look at the new ticket prices with a pre-sale opening at 10AM, with additional pre-sales opening at 12PM for 'MLSE Insiders' and Toronto Marlies members before the rest of the general public gets to participate in the sticker-shock at 2PM.

As MLSE continues to price out the die-hard fans of Leafs Nation, they should be prepared for more backlash and more business-like atmospheres for the upcoming season.
