The Maple Leafs have overhauled their line combinations as the team looks to right the ship on the road, and Easton Cowan is the clear beneficiary.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are in rough shape, having lost 7 of 8 games, en route to an Eastern Conference-worst a 9-10-3 record through 22 games, after losing to the Canadiens on Saturday night.
To make matters worse, the news coming out of practice on Tuesday is not good, with the latest updates on Auston Matthews, Matthew Knies and Nicolas Roy creating some additional concerns.
In an attempt to get back into the win column, Leafs head coach Craig Berube has tossed his lines into the blender once again, and it would appear as though Easton Cowan came out with the most favourable assignment of all of the players that were shifted around on Tuesday.
Cowan will play on the top line next to the red hot John Tavares and ultra-skilled winger William Nylander.
Other noteworthy changes saw Bobby McMann shifted to the 4th line, and Calle Jarnkrok saddling up next to Max Domi and Nicholas Robertson on the team's second line.
The Leafs have less than a 7% chance to make the playoffs with where they currently sit, but with how close the Atlantic Division truly is right now, a few wins can go a long way.
The Leafs are also still without the services of Brandon Carlo and Anthony Stolarz as well, with the outlook for Stolarz being especially grim. Initially, the veteran netminder was only supposed to miss a few days of action, but the Leafs have already admitted to the issue being worse than originally thought.
Berube also touched on Stolarz's status on Monday, pointing out that the New Jersey native has still not been back on the ice and is not close to returning.

Do you think Easton Cowan is about to go on a heater with all of the opportunities he's getting of late?
