Maple Leafs Fan Favourite Max Domi May Be on the Way Out in Toronto

According to a recent report, the Maple Leafs have a number of potential suitors willing to step in and take fan favourite Max Domi off their hands.
With the Toronto Maple Leafs' season coming to another disappointing end, once again failing to make a deep playoff run, significant changes appear to be on the immediate horizon.
As Mitch Marner weighs his options outside of Toronto, his expected departure would free up considerable cap space, allowing the Leafs to reshape their roster as Brad Treliving and Craig Berube see fit.
According to a recent report, another player who could potentially be on the way out, is fan favourite Max Domi.
On the Leaf Report podcast, James Mirtle shared insight into Domi's future with the club.
As per Willyston Riellander on X:
"James Mirtle says that some teams think Domi is interesting, and there's a lot of teams lacking talent up front that might want to add a player like that -- it is possible the Leafs can move him"
Mirtle also added that the Leafs have been actively trying to offload the contracts of David Kampf and Calle Jarnkrok to create more cap flexibility.
Domi had a disappointing season production-wise, registering just 8 goals and 33 points in 74 games -- underwhelming given his $3.75M cap hit.
Adding pressure to the Leafs' financial juggling act are reports that former captain John Tavares is seeking more than the team has offered, and the two sides remain far apart in negotiations.
That being said, the Maple Leafs may already be falling behind in the trade market. Most recently, the Anaheim Ducks traded Trevor Zegras to the Philadelphia Flyers in a significant move with an insignificant return.
Whether or not Domi remains in Toronto, it's clear that major changes are coming. The Leafs will have plenty of cap space to work with, but nothing and no one should be considered off the table.
