The Maple Leafs have a brand new and very simple, effective slogan at this year's development camp, and it's displayed on all prospect shirts.

After nearly a decade, the Toronto Maple Leafs have turned a new page and are going to be focusing on the here and now without Mitch Marner in the fold.
The star winger found greener pastures in Vegas after agreeing to a sign-and-trade on the eve of free agency, which was finalized on the following day.
With the Maple Leafs now entering a new era, it will still be positioned around core members like Auston Matthews and William Nylander, but newer faces are set to fill bigger roles, like Matthew Knies and top prospect Easton Cowan.
The London Knights standout was present at development camp, albeit only for dry-land training, and was seen modelling the Leafs development camp T-shirt that had a clear message emblazoned on the front; "Work".
For Cowan, this year's development camp is important, but he should have his eyes set on the Maple Leafs training camp set for September. With changes afoot to the NHL roster, Cowan has a great opportunity to stake his claim to an everyday lineup spot, and it starts with his off-season work.
His tremendous season didn't go unnoticed either, as teammates like Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, and John Tavares all sent him texts after he claimed the Memorial Cup.
After having come painstakingly close last year, Cowan turned on the jets in 2024-25 and ended his junior career on the highest of notes, finishing with a Memorial Cup and the MVP honours.
Despite the fact that he delivered some parting shots at the Leafs, Marner leaving the organization still stung a bit for Cowan, who admits he will miss Marner's mentorship.
"It meant a lot to me. Happy for him. Opportunities open up for other players (in Toronto)".
While his hero is no longer his teammate, it's all business for the 20-year-old, who understands that one man's loss and is another man's gain. With the motto being "work", Cowan will have a busy couple of months ahead as he prepares to take the next step.
