Leafs Head Coach Craig Berube Has Plenty to Say About the Recent Play of Max Domi

The Toronto Maple Leafs are riding high after their 6-2 victory over the Calgary on Monday. Prior to the win, the Leafs had struggled, going 1-4 since the trade deadline, making the win all the more important.

One player who not only scored in the game but has also shown significant improvement in the last few games is Max Domi.

Head coach Craig Berube has certainly noticed Domi's recent strong play. As per Terry Koshan on X, Berube went in-depth on what's been working for Domi:

Domi's season has been a rollercoaster, with periods of cold streaks and injuries. So far, he has accumulated 6 goals and 28 points in 59 games. However, his recent performances have been much stronger.

Beyond his on-ice contributions, Domi's presence in the locker room has remained consistently strong. Known for being a great teammate, he is often the first to praise the players around him. Most recently, Domi spoke highly of captain Auston Matthews after his impressive performance against the Flames.

Despite the ups and downs throughout the season, Domi is the type of player you want heading into the playoffs. He plays hard, isn't afraid to get into the dirty areas, and, if he's not producing offensively, he's more than willing to drop the gloves to create a spark.

Domi and the Leafs are back in action on Wednesday evening when they take on Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche. They were thumped in the last meeting, so look for Domi and the Leafs to extract their pound of flesh from the Avs tonight.
