Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand had the last laugh against fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs upon his ejection at the end of Game 5.

The Florida Panthers pulled ahead in their best-of-7 series in Toronto last night after cruising to a 6-1 victory over the Maple Leafs in a pivotal swing game at Scotiabank Arena.
With the series tied at 2 games apiece, the winner was going to take a 3-2 lead into Florida on Friday night, and considering how dominant the Panthers have been on home ice, the Maple Leafs needed that advantage.
Unfortunately, they were outplayed from the get-go, and the Panthers toyed with their opponent as they recorded 3 goals from their defensemen, and another 3 from their talented crop of forwards, including two depth pieces.
Brad Marchand added a late power play assist in the third period for his 5th point in the series before accumulating 14 PIMs at the very end, which also led to his ejection.
However, as he was exiting the ice surface and heading towards the locker room, cameras caught him having a viral moment with Maple Leafs fans who were berating him as he walked by.
NHL broadcaster Ray Ferraro added commentary saying "It's the best, when you walk out and everybody is giving it to you and they really don't have a leg to stand on, it's the best."
As harsh as those words may be, Ferraro is bang on with his assessment considering how dominant the Panthers have been this series and just how much of a nuisance Marchand has been over the years.
The former Boston Bruins captain looked to finally be on his way out of playoff contention before he was moved at the trade deadline in a shocking trade with the Panthers. The Maple Leafs came so close to finally avoiding him but he found a way to join the team that would give them the most issues.
Marchand and the rest of his Panthers teammates will be looking for their 4th consecutive victory on Friday night as they attempt to clinch their third straight Eastern Conference Finals berth and eliminate the Maple Leafs.
