"The Toronto Maple Leafs have some nice depth sitting in the AHL. That of course played a factor in Leafs' general manager Kyle Dubas being pretty quiet at the NHL Trade Deadline. It's that depth that Dubas pointed at as the reason he didn't make any moves to land help on defense, however with recent injuries a move might have been needed in hindsight. What's made matters worse is that two of the expected call ups might not be around to help out. Andreas Borgman and Calle Rosen were both names many expected to see in a Leafs' uniform in the near future but it doesn't seem likely. While speaking to the media, Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters it's unlikely Borgman or Rosen are back "anytime soon". «Yeah, no real progress (from them) on that part. We're not expecting them back any time soon»
