Pittsburgh Penguins' star forward Evgeni Malkin reportedly had his house robbed over the weekend with his three Stanley Cup rings among the items having been stolen.
It had been reported late Tuesday night that the home of three-time Stanley Cup champion and Pittsburgh Penguins forward, Evgeni Malkin, had been burglarized over the weekend.
While the full details have yet to be released, Malkin has requested privacy over the matter and he had publicly stated that he would not be making any further comments as the police continue the investigation.
They also mentioned that on that very same day, the Penguins had a 4:00 PM game scheduled against the Ottawa Senators and that the police were called upon a few hours after the fact.
Of the things that were reportedly stolen were Malkin's three Stanley Cup rings that the Russian superstar and future hall-of-famer had won in 2009, 2016, and 2017 with the Penguins.
Malkin joins a list of famous athletes to have their homes broken into that includes Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and Chiefs tight-end Travis Kelce, all of which has taken place within the last year or so.
Malkin currently has 33 points in 42 games for the Penguins this season with the club on the outside looking in on the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference playoff picture.
