Sportsnet had the sad and unfortunate duty to announce the passing of long-time NHL broadcaster and former NHL player Greg Millen at the age of 67.

The NHL has lost one if its own as former NHL goaltender Greg Millen has reportedly passed away, as confirmed by Sportsnet on Monday evening. The sports media giant had this to say about the passing of a popular voice in the sport for over 30 years.
"It is with heavy hearts that we at Sportsnet mourn the passing of Greg Millen, a beloved figure in our hockey community and cherished member of our NHL on Sportsnet team. As both a player and broadcaster, Greg left an indelible mark on the sport as well as everyone who had the pleasure to know him, watch him, and listen to him. With his infectious passion for the game, sharp insights, and quick wit, Greg was a trusted and familiar voice in the homes of millions of Canadians for more than 30 years.

Our deepest condolences go out to Greg's family, friends, colleagues, fans, and all those who were touched by his kindness, expertise, and endless love for the game of hockey. He will be dearly missed."
Millen's broadcasting journey began following the conclusion of his lengthy NHL career, which spanned more than 600 games.
The former goaltender made stops in Pittsburgh, Hartford, Quebec, Chicago, and Detroit along the way, but played most of his career in St. Louis as a member of the Blues between 1984 and 1990.
Our deepest and most sincere condolences go out to Millen's family, friends, teammates, and co-workers at Sportsnet. He will be sorely missed by the entire hockey community.
