Sean Higgins, the man accused of killing the Gaudreau brothers, was seen crying in court Friday after he was denied bail and his blood-alcohol levels were revealed.

Higgins, 43, is facing two counts of death by auto after striking and killing Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau while they were riding their bikes on August 29th. Higgins had his bail denied by the courts Friday afternoon where he was denied bail and more details of his crime were revealed.

According to Higgins' wife, he was forced to work from home which had an adverse affect on him, leading to him drinking regularly. Investigators noted in their reports that Higgins admitted to having 'five or six beers' before the crash on August 29th. Documents provided to the court showed that his blood-alcohol levels were 0.087, which exceeds the legal limit of 0.08.

The judge had "significant concerns" about releasing Higgins and he has reportedly been placed on suicide watch. When the decision was made, Higgins broke down in tears. His next hearing is scheduled for October.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Gaudreau family during this difficult time, but we remain hopeful that justice will be served and Higgins spends significant time behind bars.
