Two-Time Stanley Cup Winner Shares His Honest Opinion of Leafs Goalie Joseph Woll

Former Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray made a bold statement about the future of Joseph Woll during an appearance on The JD Bunkis podcast on Friday.
Matt Murray's injury-filled tenure with the Leafs officially came to an end on July 1st when he signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Kraken.
On his way out, the former two-time Stanley Cup Champion had nothing but good things to say about his time in Toronto during his appearance on The JD Bunkis Podcast on Friday.
Also, during that appearance, the 31-year-old discussed his relationship with Joseph Woll and just how good he thinks Woll can be.
Matt Murray Believes Leafs "Have A Keeper" in Joseph Woll
Murray said he enjoyed his time building a relationship with the Leafs' netminder and believes Woll can still take his game to new heights.
"I loved all my time I spent with him, we sat beside each other pretty much everywhere, had a lot of great discussions about all kinds of things, almost never about hockey, to be honest, it was other stuff," Murray said.
"I think that's one of the things that makes Joe [Woll] so resilient, he has a very wide perspective on life. He's into a lot of other things outside of hockey which I think is a huge benefit as a goalie.
The bigger perspective you have on the world, the better you'll be able to handle those pressure-packed moments. I'll miss sitting next to him, but in Toronto, they've got a real keeper there, in my opinion."

Although Murray spent the better part of the last two seasons away from Woll, they did spend the opportunities they had on the ice together often seen chatting between drills.
Despite playing in just 28 games over three seasons with the Leafs Murray provided Woll with a veteran presence that he was able to learn from.
